This year instead of a party we decided to take Cade out for an afternoon of whatever he wanted to do wit hjust Chris and I. We started the afternoon with 2 games of lazertag. Iceman (Chris) proudly took 1st place in the first game. In the 2nd game Jack Balck (Cade) ganged up on Wonderwoman (me) and Iceman and hit us a total of 35 times. Then we went to the Mini Grand Prix where Cade and Chris raced the go-carts. We ended the day at Outback Steakhouse for dinner. Cade was a good sport when the waitresses suprised him with ice cream and sang to him! We had a blast doing all the things Cade loves and having quality time with just him. The other kids are looking forward to having their own days out on their birthdays. I think Carter already has his planned.
Then today we celebrated Cade's birthday here at home. He got Rock Band and everyone spent the afternoon rocking out. I made him an IPod cake which came out pretty good I must admit. Although the pictures of Cade blowing out the candles didn't come out great. All in all a successful birthday I think. I can't believe he is 9!!

I was just thinking this morning that I can't believe you have a 9 year old kid! Crazy! Your cake does look cool! Happy Birthday Cade! 10 years till he will be on a mission... wow!
Happy Birthday Cade. I remember where I was 9 years ago. We heard the news while visiting Great Grandpa and Grandma Edgar.
Austin would love playing Rock Band with you. He just bought it a couple of weeks ago. He is the only one that is good at it.
