What happened?

What happened to the last month? I feel like I fell asleep and woke up and it was a month later. It's been a busy month to say the least. I can't believe Christmas is in a week! Yikes! The kids have had lots of activities and sports going on. Chris has been great being the taxi driver and shuttling everyone around so I don't have to take the baby out any more than necessary. Here's a recap of the last month: Carter finished up his basketball season. His team didn't have the most successful season, I'm pretty sure they didn't even win a game. Which for Carter aka Mr. Competitive was a huge deal. But he handled his loses with dignity and vowed to be on a winning team next season.

We had our first big snow of the season on Monday. The boys were thrilled that school was delayed 2 hours in the morning to allow for roads to be plowed. Cami played outside most of the day and loved it. After one day of putting on boots, snow pants, gloves, coats and all that stuff I have had enough of the snow. Cami wakes up everyday and looks outside to see if the snow is still there. She is so happy when she discovers it is not only still there, there is more of it! I think she' s used to Vegas snow where it snows and melts about 2 minutes later and is back to 75 degrees.

Carter's school does a Junior Jogger program where the kids can run laps at recess time. Their teacher keeps track of how many laps they have done and they figure out how many miles they have run over the course of the school year. Carter reached the 50 mile mark this week! He was so proud he got this awesome shirt! His goal is to reach 100 miles by the end of the school year.

Cade finished up his basketball season as well this month. His team did well and he had a great time playing with a bunch of his friends. Now on to wrestling!

Cami is in a hip hop class through the parks and rec. department and they had their winter performance a couple weeks ago. I wish I had my video camera! It was the funniest thing you have ever seen. They were all going different directions - that is the ones who were actually dancing. Half the class just stood on their spots and looked at the audience. Cami and one other little girl are the oldest in this class and by far the only ones who are able to follow directions and perform the correct routine, as you can see from the last picture. After the show Cade asked "was that suppose to be funny cause it was hilarious?" It was very cute to watch her up on stage showing off her moves!

Sadly I have no new pictures of Cassidy. Don't worry, more to come soon. She is doing well and growing. She is starting to be awake for longer periods of time now and will occasionally smile at you (not sure if it's on purpose but it's awfully cute). She loves to be held and is still a great baby. So that's been the month in a nutshell. Apparently 4 kids has made me lose all sense of time, and a good portion of my mind as well. I still count it as an accomplishment if I get to take a shower and be dressed by lunchtime. Remain calm and carry on is my new motto. Slowly but surely things will get done. Right? At least I hope so. I am actually looking forward to a Christmas break of sleeping in, no sports, activities, or school, relaxing, spending time with family and a trip to Vegas!
