18 Months

Today my baby is 18 moths old.  I'm sad to say she is becoming more of a toddler and less of a baby everyday.  I miss that little newborn who would sleep in my arms all day and snuggle up close to me.  She is still a snuggle bug and gives great hugs.  Cass is a great helper.  She loves to be right with me no matter what I'm doing.  She likes to help me cook and will run to the pantry to carry things over to the counter.  She likes to sit up on the counter while I am making dinner and watch.  She will take things to the trash, even things you didn't want thrown away!  She is quite the little artist, as anyone who sees the purple marker all over her legs today can tell.  She still loves music and knows the actions to all her favorite songs.  I am constant amazed at how observant she is.  She want to be just like her big brothers and sister.  She will watch them doing something and then try and copy them, from wearing silly bands to playing Wii to hula hooping.  She also does this with patients at work.  She will watch someone use a piece of equipment or do a certain exercise then she will imitate them.  The old ladies eat that up!  She is quite the techie.  She loves to play on our phones or ipods.  It's amazing that at this young age she knows how to work everyone's gadgets.  While she isn't talking yet she knows how to get exactly what she wants.  I am excited to watch her turn into a "big kid" but at the same time a little sad.  I wish I could hold onto that baby phase a little longer.  But when I see her walking around the house with a cell phone held up to her ear with one hand and holding her baby on her hip with the other hand while trying to keep her purse on her shoulder and not trip cause she's wearing Cami's shoes it makes me laugh and wonder what adventures her future holds.  We love you Cassidy!
