We spent last weekend at Disneyland. It was great to get out of cold snowy Ephrata and see the sun. Although it rained Saturday morning it still beat the snow and wind. We were able to meet my parents, my sister Jennifer and her husband and kids and my brother Steve and his wife and kids there. We had a great time and the kids are already asking when we are going back.
This was the first time Cassidy really liked the princesses and characters enough to go up to them. She was selective about who she wanted to see. All the princesses and Jesse were her favorites. I was totally shocked when she ran right up to them with her arms out to hug them - such a difference from last time we were there and she was scared of them!
This hilarious face is the face she makes when you tell her to smile or when she sees you have a camera pointed at her. So in pretty much every Disney picture she has this lovely look on her face.
Cami's new favorite ride is Screamin in CA Adventures (the upside down roller coaster). This was the first time she was tall enough to go on it. She is our little daredevil. She went on with Chris the first time and was crying when she got off. I thought it was too intense for her and she had gotten scared but nope - she was upset her picture they take during the ride hadn't turned out. She was too short and you couldn't see her face. So Jennifer took her back on and they sat in the front so she could get a good picture.
The girls saw lots of characters and got autographs and pictures. I tried to get the boys to pose with a couple different characters but apparently they are too cool. They had a great time with David off on their own. We gave them a cell phone and had them check in every couple hours and they got to go on all the rides they wanted.
We got all the younger kids matching Mickey/Minnie shirts and they all posed with Mickey.
Grandkids with Papa and Grandma
The girls had adorable Minnie tutus, shoes, hair bows and shirts and got to take pictures with Minnie.
The fam
The rain ponchos came in handy for the Grizzly River Rapids ride.
The carousal was Cassidy's favorite ride.
Riding the Teacups
Sunday afternoon we got to go to lunch with my Grandpa, My Aunt and Uncle and one of my cousins and 2 of her kids. My Grandpa had just gotten out of the hospital right before coming to lunch so were lucky to get to spend this time with him. The kids were not too happy about having pictures taken and were not cooperative. Jennifer's boys were sound asleep in the stroller, Cami wasn't feeling well and the rest were just tired and cranky after a long busy weekend.
We love going to Disney and can't wait to go again!
