We spent the last 5 days in Utah on vacation. The boys went to the BYU cubs football camp every morning. We enjoyed all our favorite Utah restaurants, went fishing and hiking, went to Temple Square, went bowling, went shopping and just relaxed.
The boys LOVED football camp. I think we will definitely have to do it again. They were thrilled to be with 100 other kids their ages who love the sport as much as they do. They were coached by BYU football coach Brono Mendenhall and current and former players. At the end they got posters and had all the players sign them. They had a great time. Carter even made some new friends who he was busy setting up playdates with on the last day, until his new friends mom found out we lived in LV!
We went up to Diamond Fork Canyon, Chris's favorite fishing spot. The kids caught a couple fish that got away and Cami caught one that we actually got pictures of. She wanted to keep it to bring home and be her pet but that didn't quite work out.
The kids had fun picking flowers and hiking up to the top of the hills. Chris had fun wading into the river to get his lucky black rooster tail lure he snagged. Once in he decided to just fish from the middle of the river. Boys! It was a fun trip but I am glad to be back home and get back into the summer routine.
