Last Friday Cassidy was jumping on my bed and launched herself off the bed and onto the bench at the foot of the bed head first. She smacked her chin hard on the bench splitting open her lip in several places, knocking out her top front tooth and causing her two bottom teeth to become loose and crooked. The amount of blood was crazy! After I spent a minute freaking out I grabbed a towel and started trying to get ahold of our pediatric dentist. She was in surgery that morning and I was too nervous about all of the blood and what injuries she could have to drive all the way to Wenatchee to her office so I called a local dentist who's wife I work with in Cub Scouts. His secretary told us to come right in. Off we went, Cassidy with no shoes on and screaming and both of us covered in blood. They took us right back and checked her out. Luckily she didn't need to have any stitches and didn't have a concussion. They are hoping the bottom teeth will tighten back up on their own and not sustain any damage and so far they look good. The top tooth will have to be replaced by a spacer in about a month when everything has healed and we go see the pediatric specialist.
Here's our sweet little girl minus her front tooth. I'm so sad she is going to have to go through all of this. Below is a picture of Cami when she was 21 months old and knocked out the exact same tooth as Cassidy!
What are the chances they would both knock out the same tooth? Chris should have been a dentist or better yet an orthodontist - could have saved us a lot of money!

Oh gosh, look at little Cami! Poor Cassidy, I remember those trips that little Cami took to the pediatric dentist in Vegas and how traumatic all that was, I hope Cass deals with it better than her sister did! So glad though that Cassidy wasnt hurt too badly, and just remember, THIS TOO SHALL PASS!! (Problem is, when it does, what will be next???)
Poor Cass!! She's still super cute though! The girls look so much alike!
Again? How can that happen twice in the same household. What are the odds? She's adorable even without a tooth.
