Cami-ism #1
Today the sun was shinning and the snow was mostly all melted. It was actually warm out, well, in the 50s. As we were going out to get in the car Cami and I had the following conversation:
Cami: shielding her eyes and talking in a very annoying high pitched voice: "Mom, what is that big bright thing in the sky? It's blinding me!"
Me: "Uh, the sun?"
Cami: "Oh, I figured, I just haven't seen it for so long I forgot what it looked like. I'm only used to seeing snow and clouds around here."
It made me laugh because it is so true, Ephrata is usually very gray and overcast all winter. It was a nice change to have the sun around, even if it was blinding.

Chris loves cottage cheese. Me, not so much. I think it's disgusting. Anyway, I gave Cassidy some for lunch today. She took one bite and had the most revolted look on her face. She spit it out and just glared at it and pointed at it. I was laughing so hard at her reaction. Cami came in and wanted to know what was so funny. Of course, she then had to try the cottage cheese. She took a bite and started gagging! Which only made me laugh harder. She then started dry heaving over the trash can and crying. Once she calmed down she accused me of feeding her rotten yogurt and playing a trick on her. I do have to admit, it does look a little like rotten yogurt.

A couple of my friends told me they saw a framed picture of my girls displayed at a craft store in Wenatchee (about 45 minutes away from us). Apparently I have a blog stalker who works at this store and printed a picture of my girls off my blog and used it in a sample project. Creepy! So today I went to the store to check it out. I hadn't said anything about it to Cami and as we were wondering around the store Cami spotted the picture. She was totally thrilled that her picture was at the store and assumed it meant she was famous. Long story short, I talked to the manager who said he had no idea where the picture came from, a former employee (whose name he would not give me) had made that sample. He did however give me the framed picture and apologized and agreed with me that it was quite creepy to be shopping and see your children's picture used as a display without your permission. Anyway, Cami has carried the picture frame around all day telling people that the man in the store gave it to her because she is a famous person. I'm debating about going private after this experience. Or at least marking my pictures so they can't be used.

That is kinda creepy! Love that Cami thinks she's famous though, she's SO funny!!
Wow! That is creepy! I would definitely mark the pictures at the very least. Love the Cami-isms, hilarious!
Hilarious post! I feel the same way about cottage cheese...and yikes. That is terrible about the picture. I go back and forth all the time on it.
I just read that again....sorry it didn't make sense. What I meant to say was I go back and forth all the time on going private....anyways, I don't know if you have already done it but in Settings you can say "No" to Let search engines find your blog? and Add your blog to our listings?. I noticed that a lot of my blog traffic was coming from google searches so it made me feel a lot better now that it is blocked...but maybe you know all this already so just ignore me! :)
Thanks CarolAnn. I think I will do that! I hear you are coming this way in the fall. Yea!!
